When did you begin running? I began running in July 2011
How did you get started running? When I told Amanda Mahowald I wanted to run farther and faster, she told me I should work on distance first and not worry about speed and then she took me out for a five mile run. It was my longest run and I was so excited. That week she introduced me to Wednesday night track and I became a runner.
Favorite distance to run: I have to copy Clay on this one! He said it perfectly.
Favorite Race: My first marathon; Chicago with Jessica Ballard.
Favorite Track n Trail run this year: I love them all!
Favorite place to run: The mountains

If you could run anywhere in the world, where would it be? Everywhere unless it is too hot, too cold, or too rainy. Unless it is really beautiful, then I could probably deal with bad weather.

Advice for new Runners: When you first start running it will may be tough and you will find yourself questioning why you are doing this. There will be days when you don’t want to keep running. Slowly the good runs will outnumber the bad runs, and then it will happen; you will wake up one morning and say “I am a runner!”
