Where were you born and raised?
Park Forest, IL, and Mesa, AZ.

When did you begin running?
Right after high school graduation.

How did you get started running?
Just felt the urge to run. I only ran about 20 minutes around the neighborhood every few days. I started running longer when I moved up to NAU: the first student who I met had been a cross country runner and we ran together all four years.

Favorite distance to run:
The distance it takes to pass the next runner.

Favorite race:
Phoenix ½ Marathon 2015! Everything came together perfectly, and it was my first time knowing so many runners at a race. It was way more fun than showing up at the start line, crossing the finish, and heading back to the car without talking to anyone. Seeing friends finish their fulls was a very gratifying moment.

Favorite Track N Trail event:
Track night! Best night of the week!

Favorite place to run:
Flagstaff! There is so much to love about Flag running: the urban trails that weave through the pines, quiet neighborhoods, steep hills, overlooks, and big parks; the beckoning aromas of downtown restaurants on a Friday afternoon; stomping the first tracks in freshly fallen snow or cooling off in the summer evening breeze; the incessant howling horns of passing trains.

Favorite Quote:
“When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” – Yogi Berra

Favorite Song to listen to while running:
Every Tuba Skinny song. Better yet, long sets, like this one! https://youtu.be/ffXQ6qH3gwU

If you could run anywhere in the world where would it be?
São Miguel Island, Portugal
