Where were you born and raised?

Born in Toppenish, WA. Raised in Brewster, WA.

When did you begin running?

**True story…I got bribed into running. When I was in Jr High my sisters Cross Country coach bribed me with MacDonalds if I would run with the team at a meet!

How did you get started running?

**I have always been a runner.  Growing up I just kept trying to follow in my older twin sisters foot steps.  They were well known cross country phenoms in Washington State. I knew I had the endurance but hated running. As a basketball player, running was always used as a form of punishment. I started enjoying running as an adult and in 1997 I ran my first 4 Marathons!  I was hooked!

Favorite distance to run:

**50k and 1/2 Marathon

Favorite race:

**I have a few faves, But the one I keep going back to for the past 8 years is Seattle Rock&Roll!  Going back to my favorite city & my home state has been a tradition I started since the inaugural year, has always been so much fun for me and my family!  With near perfect weather it is always a perfect weekend!  The Most scenic race I’ve run is definitely the Kauai Marathon, it’s spectacular!  Canyon de Chelly was absolutely a spiritual experience for me. It’s hard to explain what happened in that Canyon, you just have to experience it for your self!

Favorite Track N Trail event:

**Bookers 4th of July 5k was super fun but I think all AZTNT events are fun!  I especially love the inclusiveness you extend to our spouses and fur legged kids!

Favorite place to run:

**Trails anywhere!

Favorite Quote:

**As iron sharpens iron, so does one man sharpen another.

Favorite Song to Listen to while running:

**I listen to the songs of my natural surroundings when I run!

If you could run anywhere in the world where would it be?

Other Hobbies:

**Traveling. fun and Games with friends.

Advice for new runners:

Have fun and enjoy the journey!  Don’t get all caught up with how fast or how far you are running!  There will always be people in front of you to catch….in due time!
