When did you begin running? I began running in August 2013.
How did you get started running? Some friends that were avid runners put together a Ragnar team and I decided I wanted to give it a try. It got me into exercise, running, and did my first Ragnar in February 2014.
Favorite distance to run: 13.1 I’m up to 7 half marathons, which includes 2 of the Ragnar Del Sol half marathon legs.
Favorite race: While I really like the last 5 miles of the Phoenix course since it’s around the area I grew up in, I really like the camaraderie of the Ragnar events. I’m done sleeping in vans though, so I’d like to start doing more Ragnar trails.
Favorite Track N Trail event: The Saturday morning runs. The group is so welcoming and outgoing which really motivates me to show up. I’m very thankful for all of the kind words and support the group offers.
Favorite place to run: While I’m mainly a canal/street runner, I really like the outdoors and running up north or in the desert trails.

Favorite Song to Listen to while running: my guilty pleasure is Top 40 Pandora. Song lately is “Closer” by The Chainsmokers
If you could run anywhere in the world where would it be? I like going to new cities and sightseeing while I run, so I’ll go with Rome. I really like running along the beach too.
Other Hobbies: I like to golf and spend time with my family. We have 3 boys, (2, 7, & 10) so they keep us very busy with their activities. We like to camp and travel with them and family.
Advice for new runners: Join this group! Everyone is very friendly and inclusive. Sign up for a race, that commitment will help you stay motivated and on track.
